 The Pre-Prep at Hereford Cathedral Junior School welcomes children into Reception and takes them through to the end of Year 2. Located in a bright and modern building, there is a family atmosphere within the school created by friendly, welcoming staff and lively, happy children.

The school is open from 8.30am - 3.30pm, with care available from 8.00am - 8.30am and 3.30pm - 5.30pm.

 Our small class sizes ensure that each child is given individual attention and support. Through high quality teaching and excellent pastoral care, we provide opportunities to develop independent thinking and self-confidence. We offer the best elements of traditional teaching, placing strong emphasis on numeracy and literacy, along with many opportunities to enjoy a wide range of activities and skills. From Reception, lessons in French and Music are provided by specialist teachers with Drama, Physical Education, swimming and games also enhancing the school's curriculum.
We provide a structured environment in which the children learn to respect and care for others. Our expectations are high and the children know that we expect them to do their best. We encourage positive behaviour and children are rewarded for a wide variety of reasons including effort, thoughtfulness, kindness and good manners.
Above all, it is important to us that children are happy. Daily contact allows us to form positive relationships with parents and we work in partnership to provide the best possible education.
