The Constitution of the PTA states its objective to be
‘.. to advance the education of the pupils of HCJS by providing and assisting in provision of facilities for education at the school....to foster more extended relationships between the staff, parents and others... and engage in fund raising and/or social activities which support the school' .
It is run by a Committee which meet in the evening at least twice a term to discuss and organise forthcoming events. The committee also reviews requests for the funding of projects around the school. Most recently the PTA purchased a kiln and work benches for the Buttery Art and DT centre, sports equipment for the new sports hall and playground equipment.
Additionally, form reps meet with the Headmaster once a term to share information and concerns of a non-academic nature. Any parent can help the PTA, without having to commit to being on the Committee and many are recruited by form reps to support events such as the Christmas Bazaar, costume making, Sports Day etc.
IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO HELP IN ANY WAY, PLEASE CONTACT YOUR FORM REP OR THE PTA CHAIRMAN
